PROCUREMENT ASSISTANT

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Procurement Assistant” to join our EU-funded project implemented by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Türkiye.

The selected candidate will provide administrative and technical support to the Procurement Expert throughout the project’s procurement processes. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to learn and work collaboratively within a dynamic project environment.


Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Provide necessary administrative support to ensure that all procurement activities comply with the EU PRAG rules,

·       Assist the Procurement Expert in the preparation of tender dossiers, collection and evaluation of bids,

·       Contribute to the preparation of procurement plans, quotation forms, and draft contracts,

·       Support supplier communication, correspondence, and document tracking,

·       Maintain procurement archives, keep records updated, and assist in reporting activities,

·       Support logistics, documentation, and follow-up processes in coordination with the project team and office operations,

·       Conduct market research and price comparisons when required,

·       Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the Contracting Authority or Project Management.


Required Qualifications:

·       Turkish citizenship,

·       Bachelor’s degree,

·       Minimum 2 years of professional experience in procurement, supply, or administrative affairs,

·       Experience in EU, World Bank, or other internationally funded projects,

·       Basic knowledge of or willingness to learn EU PRAG procurement procedures,

·       Proficiency in MS Office applications (especially Excel, Word, Outlook),

·       Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills,

·       High ethical standards, strong communication and teamwork abilities,

·       Good command of English (both written and spoken).

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Master’s degree in a relevant field,

·       Previous experience in support roles within EU-funded projects,

·       Participation in basic procurement or project management trainings,

·       Experience in reporting, archiving, or document management systems,

·       Experience working with international teams or foreign suppliers.

·       Working Modality: Full-time, office-based

·       Duty Station: Ankara – Ministry of Health, Bilkent Campus

·       Contract Type: Consultancy Service Contract
