SIHHAT Project
13.11.2025

The Project on Supporting Migrant Health Services in Türkiye, carried out through a Direct Grant Agreement between the Ministry of Health and the European Union, represents the largest and most comprehensive collaboration in the area of health within migration management. Aimed at progressively improving the existing healthcare for migrants, the SIHHAT Project includes the expansion of Migrant Health Centres across Türkiye, the hiring of healthcare staff, the supply of medical equipment to primary and secondary health facilities, and initiatives to ensure the availability of vaccines and vitamins.

Sıhhat P 1

The primary goal of the SIHHAT Project is to enhance the overall health status of migrants in Türkiye.

To achieve this, the project focuses on:
Increasing availability and accessibility of quality healthcare services in the provinces,
Promoting health literacy and encouraging health-seeking behaviour among migrants by strengthening both social support and healthcare services for them.
Supporting the development of evidence-based migrant health policies.
