Training and Field Work Continued at Migrant Health Centers at the End of the Year
Göçmen Sağlığı Merkezleri (GSM), yılın son haftalarında da toplum sağlığının korunması ve geliştirilmesine yönelik çalışmalarını aralıksız sürdürdü. Aralık ayı sonu ile Ocak ayı başında gerçekleştirilen faaliyetler; saha hizmetleri, aile ve toplum eğitimleri, sağlık okuryazarlığı çalışmaları ile personel kapasite geliştirme programlarını kapsadı.
Migrant Health Centers (MHC) continued their work to protect and improve public health without interruption during the last weeks of the year. Activities carried out at the end of December and beginning of January included field services, family and community education, health literacy initiatives, and staff capacity building programs.
In the Artuklu district of Mardin, teams from the Bab-ı Şifa Migrant Health Center provided mobile health services and conducted field outreach in the Hatunlu neighborhood. Following the field services, a health literacy training session was organized for local residents. At the Artuklu Migrant Health Center, which operates in the same district, a physician provided participants with an informative training session on “Rational Drug Use.”
Various educational programs for families and the community were implemented at the Migrant Health Centers in the Kocasinan and Melikgazi districts of Kayseri. Within this scope, training sessions were held on “Developing Positive Behavior in Children,” “Early Marriage,” “Prenatal Counseling and Postnatal Care Methods,” and “Technology Addiction.”
In Batman, a joint field training was organized at the Central Migrant Health Center with the participation of Karşıyaka Migrant Health Center staff. At the end of the program, 18 participants were presented with certificates of participation at a ceremony.
Migrant Health Centers contributed to the effective delivery of preventive health services to all segments of society through their work in the last period of the year.
