Migrant Health Centers Continue Education and Awareness Activities
Migrant Health Centers (GSM) continue to contribute to the protection of public health through education and awareness activities organized in the field, in schools, and at centers.
Field Visits and School Education in Batman
In Batman, home visits were conducted as part of fieldwork organized by the teams of Migrant Health Center No. 1. On the same day, health literacy training on the topics of “Privacy in Children, Appropriate Touch, and Peer Bullying” was provided to students at Cumhuriyet Primary School.
Comprehensive Education Programs in Mardin
In the Midyat district of Mardin, awareness training on “Peer Bullying” was organized for 5th and 6th grade students at İstiklal Middle School.
At the Migrant Health Center in the Artuklu district, participants received training on “Human Rights Awareness,” and a meaning-making exercise was conducted on the emotions this concept evokes in individuals. In addition, sessions on “Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder – Breathing and Relaxation Exercises” were held for different needs
In order to increase the professional capacity of the center's staff, an in-service training on “Infectious Diseases and Maternal and Infant Mortality” was provided to the staff of the Bab-ı Şifa Migrant Health Center in Artuklu.
Privacy Training in Kayseri
A training session on “Privacy and Proper Touch” was organized at the Empowered Migrant Health Center in the Kocasinan district of Kayseri. The training ended with the participants' questions being answered.
