MHCs Continue to Reach Every Segment of the Migrant Community
Migrant Health Centers (MHC) continue their activities through fieldwork, mobile services, and educational programs targeting different segments of the community. In Elazığ, a meeting was held with foreign students studying at Fırat University. During the meeting, young people were informed about the primary healthcare services offered by Migrant Health Centers and the educational activities carried out in the field. Participants stated that they directly seek secondary healthcare services for their health problems and found this information very useful. The students said they would share this important information on their social media networks.
In the districts of Kızıltepe and Nusaybin in Mardin, field work within the scope of outreach and mobile health services continued regularly, while health literacy training continued to be provided at centers and schools. In addition, a team from the Bab-ı Şifa Migrant Health Center in the Artuklu district conducted an awareness training session on “Privacy and Proper Touch” for kindergarten and 1st and 2nd grade students at Anafartalar Primary School.
At Mustafa Tatar Primary School in the Kocasinan district of Kayseri, the Psychosocial Support Unit provided “Personal Hygiene” training to first-grade students. The training ended after the students' questions were answered.
