Director of Migration Health Muhammed Zahid KAYA Gave a Presentation on Migration and Health at the 4th International Migration Conference
The 4th International Migration Conference, held at the Ankara Police Academy on November 26–27, was attended by a wide range of participants with the aim of addressing the phenomenon of migration in its scientific, institutional, and social dimensions.
The conference began with opening speeches by Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur ÖZDEMİR GÖKTAŞ, Deputy Minister of the Interior Mehmet SAĞLAM, Director General of Migration Management Hüseyin KÖK, and President of the Police Academy Murat BALCI.
The conference was attended by Deputy Director General of Public Health, Specialist Dr. Hamit Harun BAĞCI, and Head of the Migration Health Department, Muhammed Zahid KAYA. KAYA gave a presentation titled “The Effects of Migration on Health and Ministry of Health Practices.” KAYA discussed the public health approach towards migrants and provided information about European Union projects implemented by the Ministry of Health for migrants.
The session ended with the presentation of gifts to the participants by the President of the Police Academy, Prof. Dr. Murat BALCI.
